Groups for Divorced Individuals

• New Beginnings: A support group that also offers social activities in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. There are discussion groups at member’s home any night of the week and social events and weekend trips. This group was instrumental in helping me get back on my feet during my divorce.  I met a bunch of very nice people.  Many marriages have resulted from this group. www.newbeginningsusa.org

• Parent Without Partners (PWP):   A wonderful organization for divorced people with children  offering support and friendship.  There are local area chapters.  They have a variety of events with and without the children. www.parentswithoutpartners.org.

• Single Parent Match:  Here is a site that hooks up single parents with each other or someone who wouldn’t mind meeting a single parent.  They have resources for single parents as well.  www.singleparentmatch.com. 

• Spiritual Singles:  This is the site for singles that are spiritually oriented with no particular religious affiliation.  It is highly recommended by my spiritual friends.  www.spiritualsingles.com. 

• World Singles:  This is an international dating site that has various nationalities or niche communities to choose from -- from Greek to Arabs to Black Singles.  www.worldsingles.com.
